On the Bradford wool market, dealing in crossbreds is very active, but no business is being done in merinos. At the Liverpool wool sales, 32,000 bales were offered before a largo attendance. There was keen competition. Bradford was the largest operator. (1065.).” Last week’s quotations given in parenthesis. HIDE AND SKIN SALE BR OKERS’ REP ORTS The fortnightly sales of hides, skins and tallow, were held yesterday by the various brokers. A medium catalogue of all classes was submitted to •% lull attendance of buyers. Compared with previous sale’s quotations, halfbreds and full woolled skins, well cared for, appreciated bv Id. to lid. per lb. ; coarse and medium about id. to Id. Salties sold in sellers’ favour. Hides were difficult of _ sale, and late rates were barely maintained. Only well prepared parcels commanded any competition. Cut, slippy and inferior lots were sold at low rates. Calf, if anything. were slightly better. Competition for tallow was keen for the better gradles. and prices were better by Is. per cwt. Faulty and inferior lots were on about a par with late rates.
