ATHLETICS
TO-DAY’S SPORTS MEETING. The snorts meeting under tho auspices of the Wellington Centre, N.Z.A.A.A., which is to take place at Athletic Park to-day, is the first big meeting of the season. The form, of previous champions and near champions should’ prove interesting, viewed in the light of whether tho lessons given by tho recent visiting American athletes has yet borne fruit. Of all the athletes competing, the form of C. Jenkins, the college star, will no doubt receive the closest scrutiny, as ho is already being hailed as knocking for a New Zealand championship. A full and varied programme has been arranged, and excellent entries have been received. The first event is timed for 2.30 p.m.
