IMPROVEMENT IN LANCASHIRE * SHORT TIME TO BE DISCONTINUED London, November 28. An improvement in the cotton trade of Lancashire is indicated by the result of two ballots among members of the Federation of Master Cotton Spinners in regard to the continuance of short time in mills using American cotton. The ballots failed' to give the necessary eighty per cent, majoritv of either twenty-four hours or thirtytwo hours per week, and tlie result will be the stoppage of short time next week.—Reuter.
