Six rinks will play against Wellington and six against Victoria, on their respective oreons, on the afternoon, of DecemlxTr 5. On Thursday mornmg six rinks will meet the Newtown Club, and six the Thoradon Club, on their greens, and on Thursday. match will be played against the Wellington Centra on the Kelburn and Hataitai greens. Tito Rev. F. Stubbs, F.R.G.S., who returned to Now Zealand from an extended world tour this week, gave an interesting address on Japan at tho weekly luncheon of the “Y” Club yesterday. He remarked that the Japanese wcro perhaps the cleanest people in the world; they were lovable, and on all occasions most courteous to visitors. , “There is beauty m all the world, but there are countries in the world all of which are beat ftul. New Zealand Japan, and Switzerland are some of these,” said the Rev. F. Stubbs speaking on his impressions of a world tour at the “Y” Club luncheon yesterd-dv. _____
