It was reported that the average attendance at all the classes for the period ended October 27 was 1665 the number on the roll being 1864. The number of students enrolled to date in the Technical High School was 608, and the number in the evening school and art classes was 1437. “No doubt the numbers in the Technical High School will continue to increase,” added the director, Mr. J. H. Howell. “But it will not be a matter for surprise if during the transition period (while the evening classes are being transferred to' the new college) numbers in this department show a temporary decline.” The building committee reported that it had approved the recommendations of the Advisory Committee with reference to workshop requirements, and had asked the architects to prepare rough sketch plans on the lines of a memorandum submitted by the directoY: the memorandum and the plans subsequently to be "laced before the Assistant Director of Education or the Superintendent of Technical Education.
