Many visitors to the Town Hall Concert Chamber during the last few months have complained of the unclean state of the walls, both within the hall (narticularly at tho platform end) and behind the stage. Tho rooms provided for artists have been described as “a perfect, disgrace,” and one artist of high standing in tho city says that no one can bo expected to take an interest in music when they have to gaze at such dilapidated walls, which so sadly need the attentions of the decorator.
