OVERSEAS MIGRATION
WORK OF THE SALVATION ARMY (Rec. April 15, 5.5 p.m.) London, April 14. Commissioner Lamb, speaking at St. Dunstan in the East, said the Salation Army during the past twenty years had emigrated 150,000 people to the Dominions. Only one per cent, of these ,had proved failures. .The Army always made adequate provision for men. women, and children landing overseas. If by chance there was not a job for an emigrant to go to immediately, the Army made a living allowance till work was found. The Army was now aiming at sending 10,000 ‘bovs to the Dominions. There were still people in England who did not want doles. These should bo helped to opportunities of usefulness overseas. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
