In flie Magistrate's Court to-day, Ralph Henry Percy Cooke, aged 27. accountant in the Gas Department of the Masterton Borough Council, was charged that Between April 4 and April 7, at Masterton, he received the sum of £54 10s. sd. on terms requiring him to account for the same to the council and omitted to do so, thereby commuting theft. Accused, who was arpasted in Christchurch yesterday, was Remanded in custody to appear at Mastertoll on Tuesday.
