STATE CONTROL ISSUE
ELIMINATION SOUGHT BY N.Z. ALLIANCE
The elimination from .the licensing ballot paper of the third issue—State purchase and control —was the chief subject discussed at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Alliance yesterday. The advisableness of such an amendment was considered in camera, and it was unanimously resolved that the alliance should make an effort to secure the removal of the issue. Papers were read yesterday as follow —“Th e Justice of Fairer Rolls and Square Rolls” (Mr. H. E Pacey), "How to Win Opposing and Young Voters” 'M'. J. I. Royds), “Financing the campaign” (Mrs. T. H. Macky). “Licensing Law and Legislation”' (Bev. J- Dawson).
