NEW GROUNDS AT HUTT.-. A meeting of the Management Committee of the -Wellington Hockey Association was held on Tuesday. Air. McKenzie presided, and there were also present: ' Messrs. Morpeth,. Butcher. Burton, Fildes, Atkinson, Toward, Martin, Thompson, Needham, and Whitehair. It was decided to write to the Referees’ Association asking as to the supply of referees for the coming season. It was decided to open the season on Saturday, April 21. A committee, consisting of Messrs. Toward, Martin, Atkinson, and Needham, was appointed to' inspect the, suggested new grounds in the Hutt.Valle v. 'A donation of £2 was made to tho Referees’ Associ'ation for general expenses. The New; Zealand Hockey Association notified tliq annual general meeting on April 26, at Christchurch, when the question of an innovation, in the shape of an annual New ’ Zealand tournament would bo considered. It was decided to ask for particulars of the new tournament. It was decided to write to the members of the Reserves Committee, asking that they agree not to raise the fees for sports. The schools committee was given power to form an intermediate grade this year, tho association to provide sticks and balls.
