MAGISTRATE’S COURT
CHARGES AGAINST PUBLIC SERVANTS. In the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, before Messrs. R. D. Hanlon and R. J. Collins. J.P.’s, a further remand for a week was-granted in the case of Frederick Marryatt, formerly the manager of tho Weraroa Trainin" Farm, who appeared on a charge of having converted to his own use £2 Os. 6d. which had been received by him on terms requiring him to pay the same to tre banking account of Cyril R-obert:*n. Bail was renewed, self in £5OO, with one suretv of a like amount. Albert Bruce Saunders appeared on 'charges of forging the name of Thomas Roberts to a receipt, on a Treasury voucher for £B, uttering it to the cashier of the Department, and stealing £B, the property of the Treasury Department. He was further remanded until Wednesday next. Bail was granted, self in £2OO, with one surety of a similar amount.
