MINISTERIAL CRISIS IN SWEDEN
STATE GRANTS FOR UNEMPLOYED Stockholm, April 6. A Ministerial crisis has arisen in consequence of the Government’s defeat in the Upper Chamber, which rejected compromise proposals regarding State grants for the support of the unemployed. The Premier, Mr. Branting, before tho vote, declared that he would resign if there was a further postponement. The King was recalled by telegraph from the Riviera. Mr. Branting’s resignation is expected when ho returns. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
