MINERS AND MAGISTRATE
CAUSE OF OPPOSITION. Sydney, April 7. Major Crane, the Magistrate, explained to the Minister of Justice that the miners were opposed to him because lie tried a minor in his absence on a charge of straying stock. The prosecutor had explained that ihei miner’s child died the previous night, but the miner intended pleading guilty.
