CHOPPING CONTEST
By telegbaph.—Pbess association. Croyniouth, April 7. In a chopping contest. Peck versus B. Koeti (standing, kawhaka log, 12 inches), the former won decisively in 23 l-ssec. In an underhand chop (14;neh white nine log), Koeti won. A third deciding test was prevented Peck cutting his foot in the underhand chop.
