NEW CONSUL-GENERAL
MR. A. E. INGRAM APPOINTED Cabled advice , was ed day from Washington that Mr. Augustus E. Ingram, Consul-General for United States at Le Havre (France) Iras been appointed Consul-General at Wellington, in succession to Hon. David F. Wilber, who is retiring. Air. Wilber departs on April 20, via Australia, and his successor is expected to arrive in the middle of Alay. Air. Ingram was educated at Shrewsbury ' England, and has had a lengthy career in the American consular service abroad, having served at Pans, Berlin and Antwerp, as well as at English stations.
