ADVICE TO RAILWAY TRAVELLERS A traveller by the Main Trunk warns people to be’very careful of _ Pickpockets (states the Auckland Star ). He says he was standing in the refreshment rooms at Frankton when a man who had just put Ins purse back in his pocket after getting change felt someone at his pocket. Tea was spilled. there was a scuffle, but in The excitement the pickpocket got away, and when the police came in answer to a call there was no sign of rnyone likely to be implicated. ’he tiai filler recalls that at Christmas twelve months there was a gang of spielers evidently working tho train in the \> akato and Taranaki, and he venders if it is not the same men at vork again.
