FIRES AT MIRAMAR
Two Miramar families were rendered homeless early yesterday morning through an outbreak of fire. At 3.10 a.m. the brigade was summoned to a four-roomed duelling in Devonshire Road, owjmd bv Mr. W. J. Hamblin and occupied by Mr. R. Johnston, but before its arrival there the building and contents had been destroyed. The house was insured in the Atlas Office for £6OO, and the furniture for £2ao in the .Guardian. 'Hie house adjoining, owned and occupied bv Mr. D. J. Dunn, was also totally' destroyed. Fortunately, the occupants had removed furniture when the danger was real sed. Ihe 'asurances were £450 with the Atlas Company on the building, and £2OO in the New Zealand office on the contents.
