ATHENIC FROM HOME
MORE IMMIGRANTS ARRIVE Th© Shaw, Savill. and Albion liner Athenic arrived in the stream at AA elllngton yesterday morning at 6.30 o’clock from London and Southampton, via Panama- Pratique was granted, and the vessel berthed at No. 1 south (outer te.e) Queen’s AVharf at 10.20 a.m. The Athenic left Southampton on December 29, and, with the exception of the first few days, experienced fine weather throughout the voyage, which was devoid of untoward incident. Among the Athene's 515 passengers were 348 New Zealand Government assisted and Oversea Settlement Committee immigrants, including 28 domestics under the charge of Matron Richards. -The destinations of the immigrants are as follow: —Auckland 114, Napier 1, Gisborne 12, AVollmgton" 53, AVestpoi-t 8, Greymonrii 16, Lyttelton 44, Timaru 10. Dunedin 23, Bluff 7. indefinite 17.
