TERRIBLE DRAMA
FOUR VIOLENT DEATHS Paris, February 6. A terrible drama, involving four deaths, occurred in a southern suburbA bachelor, aged 59, named Mutcrer. visited a former lover, a widow named Burif. A few minutes later Muterer rushed from the houses exclaiming. “That was a nice reception they gave “Tho bodies of Burif and another man Were found in the house riddled with bullets. Six police officers called at Muterer’s hotel after midnight, u hen the chief knocked at the door of the room, Muterer did. not answer. Then he half opened the door and fired a revolver. extinguishing the light. The police volleyed into tho room in the darkness. Muterer returned the fire, killing a policeman, and then managed to lock the door, the police sent reinforcements with asphyxiating gas.
