RUSSIAN DEBT
SOVIET WILL CEASE OPPOSING PAYMENT IF SUFFICIENT CREDITS ACCORDED BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. —COPYRIGHT. London, February 6. The “Central News” Lausanne correspondent reports an interview with M. Tchitcherin, who said: “If sufficient credits are accorded, the Soviet is prepared to cease opposition to the payment of the Russian debt.” The form which these credits would take and the amount of the debt would have to be the subject of special negotiations. Referring to the Straits Convention, he said that radical changes would be necessary before Aloscow would be satisfied- . , ~ A treaty between Russia and AvUmania would be the subject of negotiations in t'he near future.
