DANGEROUS DRIVING
MOTOR-CAR DRIVER FINED. Somewhat unusual experiences wero recently tho lot of a motor-car party from Upper Hutt, according to statements made by Senior-Sergeant Lander in the Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday afternoon, when a charge of dangerous driving was preferred against a taxidriver named W. Boyle, who failed to put in an appearance. The party had left Upper Hutt in good spirits, and when opposite the Kelburn tram stop a stationary motor-car, which was found to be in the way, was moved forward some 20 yards. “Finally,” addtxl Senior-Sergeant Lander, “they finished, up near the Karori cemetery with the car capsized.” His Worship (Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M.): That’s a good placet After hearing the evidence the Magistrate fined Boyle £5 and costs.
