PACIFIC EARTHQUAKE
EARTH’S CRUST VIBRATED FOR FIVE HOURS.
Melbourne, February 6. Local siesmograpn records show that the earthquake in the Pac.fic early on Sunday morning was of great violence, and that the earth’s crust vibrated for five hours. The first surface wave, after encircling the globe, passed Melbourne again some three hours’ later. —Press Assn.
