A large number of oows in the Katikati district have been under tests for some mouths (says the “Wairarapn Nows”). Tho official tester states that a cow, a cross between a Shorthorn and Friesian, in. one herd, which has been under test for four months, has given approximately 3601 b. of but-ter-fat during that period. For tho month of December this cow averageci 6-51 b. of milk a day, or 20151 b. for the month, with a test of 4.7. This works out nt 94.71 b. of butter-fat for t-he month. The cow did not receive any special attention, being one of the cows in a largo herd.
