There was plenty of fun all day, and the side-shows and entertainments were well patronised, while the refreshment booths did a roaring trade, and added considerably to the carnival funds. The Management. Those who had charge of the administration of the carnival; including n. large contingent of ladies, are to be congratulated upon the success of their efforts over such a wide field, for there was no relaxation of their work right up to the finish. The financial results are not yet available, but it is anticipated that there will be a substantial credit balance. In the Evening. A large number turned up in the evening, the dancing at tlie cabaret being well patronised ._ and tho sideshows on the ground did good business with the aid of the electric light on the grounds and in the tents, which had been Specially installed. The last boat back left tho hay at midnight, and thus ended an ambitious effort which would have been more fullv rewarded if the weather had been kinder.
