DESTRUCTIVE OUTBREAK AT CAIRNS.
Brisbane, January 10. A fire at Cairns destroyed Bullock’s hardware store, Morton s cafe, the Austral Hall, and the "Cairns Daily Times” newspaper office. Tho damage is estimated at £l7,ooo.—Press Assn.
SHOPS AND HOUSES DESTROYED AT TAREE. Sydney, January 10. A fire at Taree destroyed six shops and two dwellinghouses. The damage is heavy.—Press Assn.
