MISSING AIRMEN
MACMILLAN AND MALIN STILL MISSING. Delhi, August 24. Advices from Lahore state that there is no further news of the aviators. A launch has been dispatched from gong to render assistance. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. [Captains MacMillan and Malin, who continued the world flight after Major Blake was incapacitated, were reported missing after leaving Calcutta. Later a telegram was received by “The Statesman” newspaper from the missing airmen, saying: “We came down one mile south of Lukhldia Char through engine failure- All OK now. Petrol ia short, owing to the heavy adverse wind. Advise Chittagong to keep a.look-out for us from high tide Tuesday . Living on milk supplied by natives in exchange for cigars.”]
