A Press Association message from Dunedin announces the death of Mr. R. K. Cameron. Dunedin manager of the New Zealand Shipping Company. The deceased came to Dunedin from Tokomaru Bay.
The Hon. C. A. 0. Hardy. M.L.C., was taken suddenly ill on Thursday evening, and had to receive medical assistance. He was reported yesterday to be rather better. Mr. R. W. Dalton, His Majesty’s Trade Commissioner, left Wellington yesterday on a visit to Auckland, and expects to return to Wellington ou Tuesday. \ Mr. B. O’Connor, manager of the United' Friendly Societies’ Dispensary, is at present confined to his bed with an attack of pneumonia.
Mr. F. J. Walker, Collector of Customs at Wanganui, is retiring on superannuation at the end of September after 40 years’ service. Mr. Walker joined the Department in Wellington, and also served at Christchurch and Auckland. For the last 10 years he has held the post of at Wanganui. "
At the annual meeting of shareholders of Combined Buyers, Ltd., held in the Chamber of Commerce on Thursday afternoon. Mr. R. S. Abraham was re-elected a director of the company and Mr. H. Ivbry was reappointed auditor.
