Q MIRAMAR LADIES’ CLUB. Despite the wintry conditions which prevailed, the members of the Miramar Ladies’ Golf Club held a most enjoyable eclectic competition on Monday afternoon. Miss R. E. Gambrill was in great form, and returned the excellent card of 43 as her eclectic score for two rounds of nine holes —the first and then from the 11th to the 18th. This score of just one over bogey was a remarkable performance in such a high wind, and on such a bitterly cold day. As Miss Gaipbrill had a handicap of one, she finished all square with the Colonel. The best cards returned were: Miss Gambrill, 43—1—42; Miss West, 52— 9 —43 ; Mrs. Cooke, 51 —8 —43. The return match between the junior teams of th'? Miramar and Lower Hutt\ Clubs, which was set down for decision on the Miramar links yesterday, has been postponed until July 18.
