. VOTING- IN CHRISTCHURCH'. s_ • By. Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, September 15. Polls of the ratepayers taken to-day in connection with. City Council loan proposals resulted as follow: — Loan of .£50,000 to build new city administrative offices on the Canterbury Hall site, Manchester Street.—Carried by 1739 votes to 1604. Loan of ,£50,000 to build a concert hall on the Canterbury Hall site. —Defeated by 1923 votes to 1418. Loan of .£60,000 to purchase a town hall site fronting Victoria Square.—De? feated' by 2058 votes to 1234.
