SEAMEN'S WAGES
INCREASE DEMANDED IN AUSTRALIA. Melbourne, September 15. , The Seamen’s Union is demanding increased wages, approximately 80s., weekly, from tho inter-State passenger and cargo service owners. , Tn consequence of overseas vessels not being allowed to carry inter-State passengers unless complying with the provisions of the Navigation Act, the Orsova carried only two passengers from Brisbane to Sydney.—Press Assn.
