INDIAN REBELS
FURTHER DEPREDATIONS. Delhi, September 14. Twelve hundred rebels aro preparing to defend Nllambur. There is wholesale looting in tho Ernad district. Another largo band located in the vicinity threatened to attack Palghat, but failed to materialise, and a. hundred arrests were made. A message from Calicut states that when military columns passed the rebels would emerge from hiding and recommence their depredations.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
