MR. MASSEY’S RETURN
DUE AT AUCKLAND ON SEPTEMBER 30 Tho Prime Minister (Mr. Massey), who is now or* his way across the Pacific, is. duo in Auckland on Friday, September 30, and it is anticipated that ho will b<» ready fo take his seat when tho House of Representatives sits on the' following Tuesday. Parliament will then havs had only six sitting days, including two devoted "chiefly to formal business, and very little progress will have been made with work of the session. It is quite likely, indeed, that tho Address-in-Reply debate will not be completed before Mr. Massey takes his seat. Preparations for the session are now in progress at the Parliamentary Buildings. Many rooms in the new building have been completed since last session, and some of this additional accommodation is being made ready for occupation. The Speaker is going into his permanent quarters. The furnishing of the new rooms appears to have cost a good deal of money already.
