RIOT IN LIVERPOOL
FOLLOWS DEMONSTRATION. London, September 12. During an unemployed demonstration at Liverpool, in consequence of the crowd trying to take possession of the Art Gallery, a free fight with the police ensued, and many were injured, including the Rev. J. Laughland, who was the lea lor of thejdemonstration- A hundred arrests were made, and many were removed in police vans with their heads bandaged.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
