—4— . The play in the tournament now drawing to a close at Billiards Limited was last night of unusual interest. In the first game between T. Ingley, senr., of Greytown, and Tucker, the Wellington champjon, > there was much interest shown, and play was of a very high order. Tucker’s break of 96 was a great effort. Ingley was not kindly treated by the fates. Priddle defeated Billman by a comfortable margin, and Reriouf,- in turn, defeated .Priddle. Tucker then played Bull, and although he had to concede a start of 270 in a game of 450 up, he was able to do it. Tucker then played Phythian, and again had a win. In this game he secured the coveted break of over one hundred —a nice 115. The best breaks of the evening were: Tucker (3 games, 115, 96, 54, 52, 48, 43, 42, and many others over 20; Ingley, 30, 22; Priddle, 29, 22, 21, 20, 20. To-night, at 7 o’clock, in the semifinals, Tucker plays Nicholson, and Ingley plays Renouf, after which the winners will contest the
