BATTLE OF SAKARIA
RESULTED IN STALEMATE BOTH ARMIES FOUGHT TO STANDSTILL By Telegraph—Press Association—Oonyrlght Constantinople, September 11. The latest reports indicate that the battle at Sakaria resulted in a stalemate. Both' armies fought to a standstill, and are suffering from supply and transport difficulties. It is considered possible that the Greeks will abandon the advance on Angora and will withdraw westward, as there is now no hope of enveloping any large portion of the Kemalist forces. Kemal has sent Kurds, including members of tho Angora Assembly, to tho borders of Mesopotamia to stir up the Nationalists.—" The Times.” /
