MANAWATU LADIES’ CHAMPIONSHIP. K From Our Own) Correspondent Palmerston North, September 9. The ladies' championship golf to'.irna ment at Palmerston North was brought, to a conclusion yesterday. Miss Gambrell was easily defeated by tho New Zealand champion (Miss Wright), being beaten 6 and 5. Miss Brandon, Wellington, took Mrs. Guy Williams, of Wairarapa, to the seventeenth green before being beaten for the championship 2 and 1.
