FAMOUS PLAY-HOUSE CHANGES HANDS. (Reo. July 24, 5.5 pun.) London, July 23. Sir Herbert Tree’s famous theatre has passed into the hands of the new theatrical firm of Grossmith and Malone, who have very extensive interests in West End nnd provincial theatres. Air. Malone recently joined tho firm in place of Ml. Laurillard, who was long associated as the London representative of J. C. Williamson Ltd. Mr. Oscar Ascho will reopen at the theatre in the autumn with "Mecca."—Aua.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
