ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
* POSITION OF SCHOOL TEAMS. Association football in the Wellington district primary schools this season has been marked by a general improvement in all departments of the game on the standard of previous years’ play. The number of teams in the two competitions is well ahead of .other best years, and the boys are thoroughly keen about the game. The positions of the teams are as follow:— SENIOR.
There is the keenest rivalry between the first three tennis in the senior competition. for the Thorndon Marist boys have played one more game than the Newtown boys, who have yet to play > ea toun, the holders of the third position.* SENIOR FIXTURES REARRANGED. The fixtures net. down for Saturday next tn the senior division have had to he rearranged owing to the Hospital team not being able to get the necessary leave to play in town.
