Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having received tho following cablegram from their Loudon house, under date of July 11:—"Wool sales opened with a fair attendance of buyers. Competition is fairly animated, and the selection good. As compared with last sales’ closing rates, merino wools generally are 7J per cent, to 10 per cent, lower; fine crossbreds. 7i per cont. to 10 per cent, lower: medium crossbred, 10 per cent, lower, and crossbred coarse, 10 per cent, lower. A fuller attendance is expected fco-morrotr."
