THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for west, to southwest winds, strong to gale, and further unsettled, squally weather. Rain 1b probable generally, and heavy rain and flooded rivers may be expected in the West Coast and southernmost districts. Barometer falling, but rise, temporarily in the south soon. A disturbance in the south han intensified since Monday night, and high and squally north-west winds have ruled.
