London, June 23. Mr. Chamberlain, speaking in the House of Commons, said that as a result of Lord Curzon’s conference with M. Briarid .and the Italian Ambassador at Baris, a renewed attempt would be made to terminate hostilities in Asia Minor. The' Allied Powers had made an offer to Greece to intervene. If the latter was not prepared io accept outside intervention, the responsibility for renewal of the struggle must rest with the Hellenic Government.
Approval had also been given to a scheme for progressive withdrawal from the disputed area in Silesia of Germans and insurgents, leaving 20.(10(1 Allied troops to maintain order.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
