DISEASE-STRICKEN RUSSIA
ALARMING CONDITIONS REPORTED. Helsingfors, June 22. According to the report of the PanRussian Health Congress sitting at'Moscow, plague is rapidly spreading in South-east Russia, coming from Persia and Siberia. Cholera is raging in the Southern and Middle Governments. There is hardly one port of Russia which is not affected by malaria. The alarming conditions are duo to 'flies and gnats carrying disease. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
