CONSIDERED MOST HOPEFUL MINERS’ CONFERENCE SUMMONED BALLOT ON OWNERS’ PROPOSALS RECOMMENDED By Telegraph—Press Association—Oooyright London, June 7. The Coal Conference has adjourned to enable the miners and owners separately to discuss the points raised. The conference will resume to-morrow. Tho outlook is considered to be most hopeful. Tho Miners’ Executive has summoned a conference of tho federation for Friday, to which the owners’ proposals will be submitted with a recommendation that they be submitted to a ballot of the miners.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. WORK RESUMEDAT ROCHDALE London, June 7. > 'lhe Knowle colliery at Rochdale has resumed work on condition that the men will be granted the full benefits of any general settlement.
