KNOX PEACE RESOLUTION
FAVOURABLY REPORTED ON BY SENATE COMMITTEE.

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee has favourably reported on the Knox peace resolution. Only slight formal changes have been made.—Aus.-N.Z.
Cable Assn. [Senator Knox introduced a resolution for ending the state of war with Germany. The resolution provides that,, although the United States has not ratified the Treaty of Versailles, it reserves all rights and powers, and claims the privileges, indemnities, reparations, and advantages to which it is entitled, including the right to enforce the same under the Armistice terms or any extensions or modifications thereof, which the United States is entitled to as one of the principal Allied associated Powers. T.he resolution also provides that the United States shall retain all German property seized but without disposing of it untileach country ratifies a treaty providing for a satisfactory settlement of all United States claims against Germany arising out of the war.]
RESOLUTIONS INTRODUCED IN THE HOUSE. (Rec. April 26, 5.5 p.m.) Washington, April 25. Mr. Porter, Chairman of the House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee, has introduced to the House two resolutions similar to the Ivnox resolution, terminating the war with Germany and Austria.—Aus.-N.Z.
