VISIT TO WHANGAREI

A flotilla of harbour craft escorted the Tutanekai with Viscount Jellicoe aboard to her berthage at the Onerahi wharf this morning, and coming from there by special train the vice-regal party arrived at Whangarei at eleven <>® lock ; An open-air civic reception was accorded in the presence of a, groat public concourse. inclusive of military sections,a guard of honour, and a thousand school children. Visits were afterwards paid to the district hospital, the soldiers sanatorium at Kamo, and tho Mount Derby golf links. The party then returned S to the Tutanekai. Private motor-car journeys of the surrounding districts are contemplated for the Tutanekai then leaving for Russell and Whangdroa.
