The Minister of Public Works (Hon. .T, G. Coates) is still in the Auckland district, but is expected back in Wellington later in the week. The Minister of Education (Hon. C. J. Parr) has arranged to leave Wellington for Dunedin at the end of the week. He will look into a request made by tho Otago University for heavy expenditure on additional' accommodation for the Medical School.
The Minister of Labour (Hon. G. J. Andersop) has gone to the Auckland district. and will not return to Wellington before next week. .
Mr. F. B. Adams has been appointed Crown Prosecutor at Dunedin. Mr. Stuart Wilson will leave on a trip to America by the Makura on May 10.
Mr. and Mrs. Montague Bannister, of Sydney, are at present staying at Ronn Bay. This is the first time Mr. Bannister has revisited Wellington since he left for Sydney twelve years ago. _ A Press Association cable message from Sydney reports the death of Mr. Cecil Murnin, a well-known footballer, who visited New Zealand with teams from Now South Wales.
Mr. A. C. Twyford, of the Lands and Survey Department, recently left Wellington to take up an appointment with the Federated Malay States.
