WIRELESS INSTALLATION
DISPUTE OVER A CHINESE
CONTRACT.

The State Department has announced that strong Ter.*onstrances are to be made to China and Britain against thecancellation of the contract of the Federal Telegraph Company, an, American concern, to erect a wireless installation at Shanghai, where a. British firm has taken action to compel China to cancel the American contract, claiming that the former holds the contract, which confers a monopoly for tho erection of wireless' in China.
