RIOT IN ITALIAN TOWN
CAUSED BY VISIT OF BOLSHEVIK EMISSARY. v. Rome, February 16. The visit of the Bolshevik emissary, Hoenning, led to a riot at Matera, in the province of Potenza. Citizens refused him entry, and an angry crowd invaded the Town Hall, expelled the Socialist councillors, and set fire to the furniture and papers of the Labour Exchange.—Reuter.
