The newspaper "Fairnlay" announces tho sale of the steamera Clan Macnrthur and Olan Macrae to the Scottish Shiro Lino, Ltd., which is due at Wellington about August 30. The former has been renamed the Berwickshire and the latter tho Banffshire. The other vessels of the line nro the Avr-.hiro (9188 tons) and the Argyllshire (12.097), which left here for' London on July 28. The steamers sold were units of tha Olan Line (Cayzer. Irvine, and Co.). Tho Olan Mai-arthur (7382 tons gross) wos built by Armstrong, Whitworth, and Co., at Newcastle, (n 1912, and tho Clan Mncrao (5061 tons nross) by W. Doxford and Sons, at Sunderland, in the samo year. They Bhould prove useful additions to the fleet catering for the New Zealand-United Kingdom trade. PATEENA PUTS BACK. The Port Napier left J\ T ew York on Adjust 10, bound for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin. and Auetralinn ports. She is expected to arrive at the northern port on September 12, and should reach here seven daya later. IIAMARI LEAVES LONDON. The S.S. and A. liner Mamarl left London on August 11 for Port Ohalmers. Lvttelton, Wellington, and New Plymouth. She Is bringing cargo, and 400 third-class passengers for Port Chalmers. She it due at the southern port about September 25. , THE PORT OURTI6. ' ! ' i PORT HACKING DELAYED. The 0. and D. liner Port Hacking hasbeen delayed at Napier, and is not now expected until Thursday. ' PORT LYTTELTON AT COLON. The Port Lyttelton, which left Wellington on July 13 for London, left Colon on August 9 in continuation of her voyage. PAKEHA SAILING TUESDAY. The. departure of the S.S. and A. liner Pakeha for London has been delayed until Tuesday. '; ULIMAROA DUE MONDAY. The Ulimaroa left Sydney at W5 -n.m. on Thursday for Wellington, with 291 passengers, including 10 Ohine.w and 1500 tons of general cargo. -She is due here on Monday. , j -V. ESSEX TO LOADTho Essex is to leave Australia on August 18 for New Zealand to load for New York. ADMIRAL CODRINGTON IN ENGLAND. Cable advice states that the Poverty Bay Farmers' Bteamer Admiral Codrington, which was .fitted with . refrigerating machinery in Auckland, has arrived at Home. - The vessel left Wellington on April 29, and has gone Home, via.Australia and South Africa.

The Rhahristan, running under charter to tho U.S.S. Company, ic due at Lyttelton \ about August 17 from San Francisco, fiho has cargo for discharge at Lyttelton, Dun- ; edin, and Adelaide. i On account of the bad weather the departure of the Tutanekai for the Chathamß, via Lyttelton, has been postponed until Monday afternoon.

The John is to load at Tarakohe for Lyttelton, and is due here from the southern port at the end of next week. The Nsakuta has been delayed at Portland owing to tho wet weather, and is not expected- here now until Tuesday.

The Stella will not be ready to leave for Port .Chalmers to-day, nnd her departuro has been postponed until Monday. The Mapourika after discharge of her New Plymouth cargo will »o on to Lyttelton. Tho Kaianoi is expected to leave Melbourne on Tuesday with general cargo for Auckland and- Wellington.

The Whnngape will not leave Auckland until Monday. She is .'due here on Tuesday. '.

The departure of the Devon for Lytelton has heen delayed until Monday.

Mr. J. W. M'Rlll third engineer of tho Patcena, has left that vessel owing to illness.

The Union Company advised late last night that the Rosamond would not bo dispatched to Plymouth, Weßtoort, and Grevmouth To-day. Arrangements will be mode for a boat to mako the trip early next week.

The Kaltoa did not sail last nirlit for Nelson. She ivaß to Bail at 6 o'olock this morning, and will miss her trip from Wellington to Nelson on Monday.
