(To the Editor.) HOW THEY ARE COLLECTED. Sir,—Comparisons are invidious, more so when those making Ihiem are* only half versed in their subject. It is now Allowed nhat we were well within our rights, and fihe matter was nobody's business. That those who poked their nose in were endeavouring to impose penalties on. others, from a, safe strategical point for themselves. No two men are alike, and therefore no two combinations of men. But that is not all, No two districts_ in Wellington aro alike, and combinations of distrioife are worse. In other words, anyone who claims that the milk blocks could be worked on a. plan of verisimilitude.would be proclaiming their own crass ignorance, not only of the topography, but anthropology, involved in the question. The other blocks don't have to' do the same as wei have tc do, and don't get the same treatment from tho people as wo do. ( They have not the 6ame task as. we have, and got more thanks for lees service, both in the delivery and the collection arising from that delivery. • Their days, of grace to the public arc four, ours are 21. They have never paid one penny pieco to outsiders 'to get tlieir money in for them; we have paid as much as ,£G per week to one agency, and tliero aro four others. But why did wo take up such a block? Would any blocking have taken place if we had not? Let Councillor Norwood or Mr. Ward answer. Oh, no!
